What your child’s class is doing, and what we store.

What happens in a session

The teacher plans and approves every question before class — nothing is generated live in front of students, and nothing reaches the screen without the teacher’s approval.

In each round, two students play a short colour-guessing game, share a moment of eye contact, and then both answer the same age-appropriate question out loud. Questions are about everyday experiences — never about trauma, family problems, or anything a child couldn’t comfortably say in front of the class. Any child may pass, any time, without explanation.

At the end, students can answer five quick check-out questions on a phone (“I listened when my partner shared” — not at all to very much). Teachers may skip this.

What we store

A first name (or nickname) chosen by the school — that is the only identity information in the system. The class’s questions, which student pairs shared, timing of the ritual, the teacher’s private ratings, and the student check-out answers (numbers on a 1–5 scale).

What we never store

No email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, birth dates, photos, or audio/video of students. Student answers spoken in class are never recorded. No advertising, no tracking cookies, and student data is never sold or shared with third parties. When AI helps write questions, the request contains no student names or identities — only the grade band and topic.

Who can see what

The class screen shows only the question and first names. The teacher’s ratings, notes, and all check-out answers are private to the teacher and school — they are never shown to students or other families. Each school’s data lives in its own separate database.

Your rights

You can ask the school to show you everything stored for your child, to correct it, or to delete it. A session history — who your child paired with and which questions they answered — can be shown to you by the teacher. It never includes the teacher’s ratings or anything about another child.
